Vietnam is the world's second-largest coffee exporter, producing 31 million bags annually. But less than 1% is specialty-grade. For decades, Vietnamese farmers grew commodity robusta for instant coffee giants. The Central Highlands terroir—volcanic soil, perfect elevation, monsoon seasons—went unnoticed by the specialty world.
Alambe Coffee partners directly with 47 farming families in Dak Lak Province who rejected commodity prices and chose craft. Hand-picking only ripe cherries. Small-batch processing. SCA cupping standards. We're bringing the 1% to the UK—specialty Vietnamese robusta that scores 80-85 points and challenges everything you thought you knew about robusta coffee.

We work directly with 47 farming families across Dak Lak and Lam Dong provinces. Third-generation farmers who know their land, tend their trees by hand, and process coffee the way their grandparents taught them. The Central Highlands—Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Gia Lai—sit at 800-1,600m elevation on volcanic basalt soil. Natural minerals create complex chocolate, nutty, and earthy notes. Monsoon wet and dry seasons allow natural fermentation during processing. This isn't "just robusta." This is terroir-driven specialty coffee.
Every batch is hand-picked at peak ripeness, wet-processed or sun-dried depending on harvest timing, and cupped to SCA specialty standards (80+ points). EUDR-compliant GPS traceability ensures every bean's origin is documented. You taste place, not process.
